Workplace Experience Placement
A key service of the Learner Workplace Centre is assisting learners with workplace experience placement.
We work to connect learners with suitable workplace opportunities where they can gain practical exposure relevant to their programme and required workplace outcomes.
Build confidence and workplace readiness.
During their workplace journey, learners may be required to:
- Observe experienced workplace professionals.
- Participate in relevant workplace activities.
- Apply theoretical knowledge to practical situations.
- Complete prescribed workplace tasks and activities.
- Develop practical occupational skills.
- Work under appropriate supervision and guidance.
- Collect workplace evidence where required.
- Complete workplace records, reports or logbooks.
- Demonstrate professional workplace conduct.
From the Classroom to the Workplace
THEORY
THEORY- KNOW IT
Learners first develop the knowledge and understanding required for their field of study.
This provides the foundation for understanding what must be done and why it must be done.

Learners are given opportunities to practise the skills associated with their learning.
They move beyond knowing the theory and begin demonstrating how the knowledge is applied in practice.
